A Message From the President

Palm City is a unique community that has never strayed far from its roots. It has managed to retain its small-town charm and atmosphere while becoming one of the most desired addresses on the Treasure Coast. The balancing act of attracting businesses due to the close proximity to major highways, protecting agricultural lands, growing family neighborhoods, and protecting the environment is skillfully achieved through the dedicated involvement of the local community. The Palm City Chamber of Commerce is in the center of these issues and is the one organization that strives to enhance the business community’s abilities, yet is also concerned with the maintaining the character that attracted us all to this Shangri-la.

Involvement in the Palm City Chamber is the first step to ensuring your business reaches its maximum potential. Members need to understand it is not enough to simply join the chamber and place our sticker in the storefront window. Lasting business relationships are developed through participation, and there is an endless list of opportunities offered throughout the year to accomplish this. We have a talk-of-the-town monthly breakfast; bi-monthly luncheons, and social mixers that combine networking with fun and friendship. We also participate in business expos to give our members maximum exposure. Membership in the chamber will provide the active member the greatest return on their investment.

While most people have an idea of what a Chamber of Commerce stands for, the Palm City Chamber of Commerce has surpassed my expectations over the years. Our reputation as the “chamber that gets things done” is well deserved. There are multiple committees for members to participate in. These include the Ambassador Committee, the Education Committee, the Local Affairs and Government Issues Committee, and the Business of the Year Committee. Our board members are active in civic advisory organizations and travel as far as Tallahassee to stay in the forefront of issues pertinent to Martin County business owners and citizens. The immensely successful Adopt-A-Class program, which we have proudly sponsored for 15 years, has received two Commissioner’s Business Recognition Awards, and has raised over $750,000 for Martin County Public Schools.

In my estimation, there is no better place than Palm City to live and work and raise a family.

Sincerely,
Jamie Chapogas, President
Palm City Chamber of Commerce
